Attendance:
Regular attendance is vital to learning. Please plan to arrive for class with adequate time to dress so that you won't miss a minute of precious class time! A student arriving more that 15 minutes late, places students at risk of injury due to improper warm-up. As a result, a student arriving more that 15 minutes late may be asked to observe class rather than participate, at the teacher's discretion. (6 years + due to more strenuous activity). If a student does arrive late, they MUST respect the ongoing class and enter quietly please.
Missed classes may be made up, preferably within one month in a comparable class. Please call ahead to schedule a makeup class so we may inform the teacher that you are planning on attending and so your attendance will be recorded accurately. Likewise, a teacher may occasionally need to cancel a class; make-up classes will be scheduled. If you are unable to attend the scheduled make-up class, you are welcome to make-up in another class. (It's a great opportunity to try a new class!!) There will be NO REFUNDS for missed classes.
Student Dismissal: Students may be dismissed from the studio for inappropriate dress, disrespectful/disruptive behavior, non-payment of fees, or non-compliance with any/all studio policies.
Fees and Tuition: Tuition for the 2008-2009 Dance Season runs from Sept -June 13. The last tuition payment will be DUE JUNE 1, 2009 and will be ½ month payment. Tuition is DUE the first day of each month. We offer an optional auto debit service to simplify your bill paying. Written notice is required, thirty (30) days in advance, for withdrawal from any classes at Wildwood Dance and Arts without financial liability. Withdrawal forms are available at the front desk. If notice is not given, you will be charged for that month's tuition. Late Registration: (once classes have begun in a session) Class fees may be prorated to reflect actual start date, but requires the next month payment in full at time of registration. No refunds. Refunds: No Refunds given for class services. Returned Checks: In the event that a payment by check is returned by the bank, a $25.00 fee will be charged to the client. Visiting: Parents are invited to observe class in the lounge area at anytime! We have provided video monitoring capabilities for all Studio rooms. While visiting, parents are requested to remain in the lounge/lobby areas and only enter the studio rooms when asked by the instructor. This keeps our dancers and artists focused! (Monitors may be turned off for Adult and Pro Track classes.) We will have an in-class watch day the last class before the winter break. Drop Off: Please park your car and escort them inside, never allow your child to walk from the parking lot alone, Children are to remain inside the studio until you pick them up after their lesson. Please do not leave young children unattended before or after a class. WDA is not responsible for, and cannot watch students outside the building. Inclement Weather Policy: Please telephone the studio for an outgoing message that will inform you if we are open or closed. Please listen for cancellation announcements for the Rockwood School District on KMOV, or the Rockwood's website http:www.rockwood.k12.mo.us. We do not make up snow days missed. However, we do encourage students to make up lessons by participating in regularly scheduled classes other than those they ordinarily attend. Must contact instructor to let them know they plan to attend. Little Stars: We are happy to provide a small play area during all regular business hours for those parents that have siblings along, or students that are waiting to enter class. Please make sure all materials are treated well, and put away when finished. Parents are responsible for monitoring child's use of play items. We have students of all ages, so please keep items in specified areas. We ask that parents encourage "inside voices" while children are in the lobby area. Thank You-
***ILLNESS*** Your child will not be allowed to attend classes if they have had ANY of the following: *Fever in the last 24 hours *Contagious/Infectious illness *Colored secretion from eyes/nose! Please keep them at home, If they are not contagious, and may be experiencing allergies, etc...they may come and watch their lesson if they do not feel well enough to fully dance. Your child may be asked to walk through their spacing in a dance if they are watching a lesson. Dancers will not be permitted to watch their class without a note of parental consent. Only six (6) absences or periods of watching classes will be allowed from September to January. If your child misses more than six (6) times during this time period, participation in the recital will be at the teacher's discretion. If your child is absent or watches four lessons from February to May, participation in the recital will be at the teacher's discretion. Makeup lessons are available. Inquire about the proper time for your child to make up any lessons missed.
