- Dancers should not be in a studio without a teacher present, unless the studio has been reserved for independent rehearsal, or they have been given permission to enter.
- NO GUM/CANDY ALLOWED IN STUDIO!!
- No running or horseplay on the premises. Not only do we want to respect the dancers and artists here to study, but foster a safe environment!!
- In an effort to maintain a positive, family atmosphere, appropriate behavior and language will be expected from all students, parents, and staff members.
- Dancers MUST be dressed appropriately for class. Please consult the Dress Code for proper attire
Class Attendance, Tardiness, and Illness:
- Regular attendance is vital to learning. Please plan to arrive for class with adequate time to dress so that you won’t miss a minute of precious class time!
- Tardiness: A student arriving more that 15 minutes late, places students at risk of injury due to improper warm-up. As a result, a student arriving more that 15 minutes late may be asked to observe class rather than participate, at the teacher’s discretion. If a student does arrive late, they MUST respect the ongoing class and enter quietly please.
- Missed classes may be made up, preferably within one month in a comparable class. Please call ahead (636-458-6605) to schedule a makeup class so we may inform the teacher that you are planning on attending and so your attendance will be recorded accurately. Likewise, a teacher may occasionally need to cancel a class; make-up classes will be scheduled. If you are unable to attend the scheduled make-up class, you are welcome to make-up in another class. (It’s a great opportunity to try a new class!!) There will be NO REFUNDS for missed classes.
- Illness: Your child will not be allowed to attend classes if they have had ANY of the following:
- Fever in the last 24 hours
- Contagious/Infectious illness
- Colored secretion from eyes/nose
- Please keep them at home, If they are not contagious, and may be experiencing allergies, etc…they may come and watch their lesson if they do not feel well enough to fully dance. Your child may be asked to walk through their spacing in a dance if they are watching a lesson. Dancers will not be permitted to watch their class without a note of parental consent. Only six (6) absences or periods of watching classes will be allowed from September to January. If your child misses more than six (6) times during this time period, participation in the recital will be at the teacher’s discretion. If your child is absent or watches four lessons from February to May, participation in the recital will be at the teacher’s discretion. Makeup lessons are available. Inquire about the proper time for your child to make up any lessons missed.

- We sell snacks and beverages at the front desk for clients.
Dress Code:
- Dress Code will be followed by all classes!!
- The dress code applies to class only; recital requirements for shoes and tights may be different to match recital costumes.
- Refer to www.wildwood-dance.com for a dress code listing by class type. “About Us” tab- “Forms”- “Dress Code”
- All Dress Code items may be found at, or ordered through, the studio!!
- By signing this policy form you are acknowledging that you agree to follow the dress codes.
Class Level and Placements:
- Early Childhood –Combo Classes are generally based on age.
- Leveled Classes require a determination based on age and experience. The level a student may register into is determined by the instructor/director. Final placements may take more than one class to determine.
- Advancement may occur on special occasions during the dance season. On average a student is expected to remain in that level for a minimum of one year. However, it is not uncommon for students to take more than one year in a given level. If a student is promoted too soon they may miss valuable training. We want to prevent injury as well. You may call for private placements as well.
Students and Parents are required to read and sign the “Policy Signature Form” and return to their next scheduled class to continue enrollment at Wildwood Dance and Arts.
